Populytics

Brand identity for an organisation that bring citizens and decision-makers together.

How do you increase mutual empathy between citizens and decision-makers in complex issues? Populytics is a startup at TU Delft and wants to realise this by bringing smart tools into practice based on scientific methodology. Populytics asked Kordaat to support her in formulating their mission and vision and to translate their story into a brand identity.

Branding session

We set out Populytics’ ambitions by means of a branding session. Together we defined a vision, target groups, brand strategy and positioning. From this session we defined an appropriate advice on their appearance and marketing, after which we started designing the brand identity.

Populytics wants to narrow the gap in empathy between citizens and decision-makers. Directors and organizations have major issues for various topics and Populytics wants to convince them to use their products and services in order to deal with these issues. The branding is of great importance for the first impression of potential customers and therefore it is professional, reliable, approachable, clear in tone of voice and radiates and communicates an appropriate self-confidence.

Accessible and clear

We chose to use bright, reliable colors and a friendly and easy-to-read font for the brand identity. Visual elements such as the arrows in the bubble of the logo represent the different routes that can be taken within a consultation.

At the moment (in times of home-offices and constant video calls) the website is one of the most important manifestations of Populytics. We have carefully arranged all information in collaboration with the Populytics team. There is enough product information to read, a video in which the process and methodology is explained and cases can be viewed to get a good impression of the subjects and trajectories with which Populytics deals. They also regularly post news items about current topics and a short report of, for example, webinars in which they participate.
