Branding for RSK Installatie

Merging two large regional companies into one strong brand.

RSK Installatie was created by joining forces between Loodgietersbedrijf Vesseur (plumbing company) and R.M.H. Schouten Installatiebedrijf (installation company) – two established companies with over 100 years of craftsmanship each. The new organization already had a logo, but was looking for a way to develop a brand that truly reflected its identity. Our task: to develop the logo into a brand identity and develop a redesigned website that tells the story of this merger.

From strategy to identity

We began with a strategic session in which we sharpened the mission and vision. This session formed the foundation for all subsequent steps: from brand positioning to visual development. It provided a clear compass for what RSK Installation stands for and what it wants to achieve. It also provided guidance for the three directors: this allowed them to clearly express their wishes and future ideas, and they could work towards a single, shared path.

Branding with a twist

With this strategy in hand, we further developed the identity. The logo was complemented with contemporary typography, a set of icons, and a concept for other communications. RSK’s name originally came from the owners’ surnames. They then linked words to these letters (regional, service, quality), giving it a dynamic feel. They also indicated that they didn’t want their names to always be attached to these letters: ultimately, the company is made up of the entire team, not just the three of them. This desire ultimately forms the core of all communications: all internal and external copy uses the letters R, S, and K. For example, the coffee cups say “really strong coffee” (koffie); and the sponsor board by the football team reads “run, shoot, champion (kampioen)!”

Cars

An extenisve job for our signmaker: RSK Installatie has almost 20 work vans on the road, all of which, of course, needed to be updated with the new style. We also provided various windows in the company building itself with the right look and various signage inside.

A website that tells the story

For a full-service installer, it’s crucial to have a strong online presence: reliable and accessible. Furthermore, we wanted to showcase the rich history of both family businesses online, while the updated style exudes strength and continuity. We developed a modern, user-friendly website that highlights the merger of the two companies. The site clearly presents all services and tells the story of tradition and innovation. Naturally, the website is optimized for speed, SEO, and ease of management.

The result

RSK Installatie presents itself as a strong brand that combines generations of craftsmanship with a forward-looking vision. The new branding and website make it clear: here is a company that honors its rich history while simultaneously preparing for the next hundred years.
