A fresh-faced campaign with a theatrical edge.
Together with the two podia, we decided to focus on Leiden theatre goers and theatre lovers through a series of portraits. Theatre is something to experience, it’s unexpected, makes you roar with laughter, it moves, surprises, or scares you. We took these expressions evoked by theatre and cast them in a catchy and striking campaign that could be seen throughout the city. This included posters in the street and in cafes, advertisements, roll-up banners, and even images on the side of buses. For this series we worked together with Leiden-based photographer Sanneke Fisser.
We also designed the recognisable seasonal brochure that revolves around images and colour. This brochure includes a year’s worth of performances at the locations. By giving each month a different colour, we made the programme comprehensible and made it easy to search for shows. We highlighted a number of tips by the programmers, emphasising special performances. We wanted to feature each of the Leiden theatre visitors on the brochures as well, so we decided to publish it with different covers. This allows you to pick your favourite.
