Legal websites tend to drown in distant design and complicated legal language without offering users much in the way of clarity. Wessel’s lawyers identified the same problem and asked us to develop a modern, fresh and accessible website.
A modern and accessible website for complex legal matters.
Legal websites tend to drown in distant design and complicated legal language without offering users much in the way of clarity. Wessel’s lawyers identified the same problem and asked us to develop a modern, fresh and accessible website.
Before getting started, the lawyers at Wessel did their homework by sharing a clear set of wishes and functionalities with us. Together, we continued to develop their list of requirements and determined how to lead visitors through the vast amount of legal terms and information. We decided to make a clear distinction between Wessel’s two areas of expertise (corporate law and employment law), guiding visitors towards the information they need.
The result is a modern website with a clear and straightforward layout, which functions well on both desktop and mobile devices. We asked GDandP photographers for modern and informal images that introduce the approachable team at Wessel Juristen. Black-and-white photography provides a good balance between design and functionality without distracting from the content. Texts were edited by copywriter extraordinaire, Julie de Graaf. Thanks to her legal and journalistic background she was able to give the otherwise rigid nature of the texts a more accessible character.
We sought out the help of our partner Mowbi to build the website. They were really able to sink their teeth into the technical aspects of the clever calculation tools (for transition payment and business value), which offer a unique addition to this website.
